It seemed simple
Always fair
Constellations
Told me to beware
You knew, I'd let you down
You knew, I'd let you down
Grinding my teeth
Cracking my bones
Illustrations
Told me to roam
You knew, I'd let you down
You knew, I'd let you down
How we gonna make it out?

Passing Through
02:28
|
|||
Waiting on the starlight ahead
Waiting 'til my candle gone dead
Just passing through
Hoping someone's waiting on me too
Gotta try and do some good
Hands dirty chopping wood
Just passing through
Hoping I paid my dues
Looking back is a lost game
And you know I'd try anything twice
Looking out on the horizon
Chasing the last day's light
Faith ain't enough to survive
Hard to love but at least I tried
Just passing through
Hoping I find my way soon.

It's Alright, Lia
04:06
|
|||
We got stuck outside South Bend
The storm put up a fight
And under the shelter
You kissed my mosquito bite
And up at the lake
The party ended too soon
We walked together
You gave me the flu
Lia . . . Yeah, it's alright
You made me pancakes
And I made you laugh
Then it was over
But the memories, they last
Lia . . . Yeah, it's alright
You said you loved this time of year
You said the feelings, the feelings were gone
Gone . . .
Like the leaves in autumn
Lia . . . Yeah, it's alright.

The Sailor
03:59
|
|||
Quiet night, long walk to the shore
The sailor, he looked up, trying to ignore
Clouds covering up the dawn
And along the gravel road, his shadow was gone
To his warn, wooden boat, and out to the sea
Tired of mumbling empty apologies
And he cast his nets just right
Out on the water, his shadow out of sight
Gotta get the big catch, just one time
The sailor, he was down, to his last dime
The rain started to fall
Out on the water, no shadow at all
The wind picked up, the waves crashing in
Clutching his best catch, the sailor, he grinned
The boat started sinking down
Underneath the water, no shadow found.

Heart of Stone
04:11
|
|||
Feeling broke
Skin and Bones
Without a home
Just hoping not to waste my days
Like a Buffalo
The plains I roam
In a country overthrown
Just hoping not to waste my days
Lost soul
Never full
Heart of Stone
Just hoping not to waste my days
Waste my days
Waste my pain
Things will even out before long.
